Part of my series of Goat paintings. This 'sleeping goat' showcases energised brushstrokes. Warm tones make up the rocks. While the goat is also depicted with energised marks, I use lighter tones bring out the shape. The overall painting has an expressive quality to create some life to the subject, loose marks around the body contrast the painterly marks around the face which reflects the tranquil sleeping expression of the goat.
